Lets not forget this was also Halloween weekend.  Adrienne and her cousins Chris and Elizabeth hit the roads "trick-or-treating".  Adrienne had a great time.  She wasn't quite sure what was going on at first - going door to door all dressed up??  She quickly got the hang of it when she realized everyone was handing out candy!  Another fun weekend!

Another weekend hard at work and another step closer to moving day!  Thanks to Aaron, my dad and Todd we made leaps and bounds installing hardwood floor this past weekend.
After many hours, late nights last week and several blisters we (mostly Aaron) had all the carpet and several thousand staples removed.  That is when my dad, Jim, showed up to do the tedious wood cuts around the doorways.  Aaron and Todd moved in from there to hammer out row after row of wood.  And it looks great.

Our move to NC has been an adventure.  It all started when we rented our apartment with no furniture and slept on an air mattress with beach towels as blankets!  It has certainly had its ups and downs.  We really miss our old stomping grounds, friends and family but spending time with sister and her family has been a lot of fun.  Some of our highlights include a life size puppets show in an outdoor ampitheater, Ice Age III on the big screen in the village common, the music festival, the weekly farmers market, a trip to Myrtle Beach and most of all a visit from my parents and Aaron's parents.  There will be more to come as we continue on our journey!

Our New House

Aaron, Adrienne and I bought our first house! It is in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The small A-frame style house is on a wooded half acre lot on a cul-de-sac. With a little TLC it is going to be a cozy place for our family to live. We are just around the corner (within walking distance) from my sister, Gretchen and her family. Lily and Emma have already enjoyed exploring the property and are happy to have the space to run free.
